I provide individual, couples, group and family therapy utilizing an eclectic approach to help others achieve their treatment goals.   My foundation however, is in Mindfulness, which is designed to deliberately focus one’s attention on the present experience in a way that is non-judgmental. Mindfulness based approaches and contemplative approaches are aimed at relieving the symptoms of psychological stress, negative mental states and physical pain.  I have found that once the skill of mindfulness has been learned, individuals are able to integrate this therapeutic technique into virtually any situation that presents itself in order to maintain a sense of control in what might otherwise be an overwhelming experience. I use this approach in conjunction with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.  I am in the process to starting a DBT skills group and will be updating this site with dates and times.  If you would like more information about this group please contact me at 850.460.8977.
